DIGIPAY USER MANUAL

1. Introduction

 

CSC-SPV in collaboration with National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) and IndusInd Bank has launched Aadhaar Enabled payment System (AePS) at all CSC locations across the country. This system is based on Aadhaar authentication of ani ndividual, which eliminates the threat of any fraud and malicious activity. Aadhaar will facilitate 'anytime, anywhere’ authentication to its beneficiary. The purpose is to achieve inter-operability between banks for Aadhaar based payment transactions. The DIGIPAY application will enable CSCs to cater the need of financial services in far flung and banking deprived areas of the country. VLEs can also leverage on the footfall at their centre and play a vital role in making a cashless society as per the vision of Government. DigiPay is a simple, secured and seamless way of transacting through Aadhaar based authentication.

Minimum Requirements

The minimum requirements for running the DigiPay Client application are:

Hardware Requirements

  •  Desktop/Laptop and Internet connectivity
  •  Biometric Device (Fingerprint/Iris)
  • Printer

Minimum Hardware configuration

  •  1. 2 GHz Processor, 1 GB RAM, 100GB Hard disk
  •  10 Kbps internet speed

Software Requirement

  •  Net framework v 4. 0

Important Information

  • Only those VLEs who have registered on new CSC2. 0 registration portal would be able to disseminate services offered by system.
  • It is mandatory for VLE to give receipt to the customer for all the transactions irrespective of success or failure.
  • VLE has to update his cash in hand under settings tab on regular basis.

2. DigiPay Installation

 

  •  Download the DigiPay from CSC portal.
  • Figure 2 Right Click on Installer and click on Run as Administrator.
  •  Install the DigiPay client on your desktop/laptop. Click on Next Button.
  • Click on Next Button
  • Click on Next Button
  • Click on Next Button
(Note – Please install at C:\ or D:\ - root of drive) Click on Finish Button to complete the installation.
  • A shortcut will appear on Desktop. Launch the downloaded DigiPay application.
  • To launch the application double click on the DigiPay icon on your desktop.

 

Registration and Login

 

Following are the steps to do the registration.

1. First time users are required to run the application as an administrator. To run the application as an administrator, right click on the downloaded file and then from there please select the Run as administrator command.

2. Enter your Aadhaar Number followed by your Aadhaar authentication.

3. Once Aadhaar authentication is successful, you will get below message.
4. After Clicking on OK button, you have to again restart the application by double clicking on DIGIPAY Icon. Login Screen appears as shown below. Click on your Aadhaar no and authenticate yourself. Then Click on Login.

5. After login you would be able to avail all the services, as displayed in the left hand side of below screen.

3. Services

 

Withdrawal

 

This facility will enable the VLE to withdraw cash for the customers from their respective Aadhaar linked bank account. VLE is required to capture the following information from the customer to avail the withdrawal facility.
  • Bank Name: Customer bank name for cash withdrawal.
  • Amount: Amount to be withdrawn by customer.
  • Customer Aadhaar: Aadhaar number of the customer.
  • Biometric/Iris: Customer’s Fingerprint or Iris through the use of Aadhaar authentication device.

VLE will get an instant response for the transaction requested by the customer. For all successful transactions the below screen will be displayed.

Once the money is successfully debited from the customer account, the VLE will hand over the same amount in cash to the customer. VLE can also print a copy of the receipt for the customer. In case of the transaction failure, below screen will be displayed.

In case of Aadhaar authentication failure, below screen will appear.

Balance Enquiry

 

This facility will enable VLE to enquire balance of the customer’s bank account using the Aadhaar authentication. The VLE needs to capture the following information from the customer for his balance enquiry.
  •  Bank Name: Customer bank name for balance enquiry.
  •  Customer Aadhaar: Aadhaar number of the customer.
  •  Biometric/Iris: Customer’s Fingerprint or Iris through the use of Aadhaar authentication device.

After the submission of above details by VLE, following screen will show the balance of the customer.

VLE will get an instant response for the transaction requested by the customer. VLE can also print a copy of the receipt for the customer.

POS Bill Pay

 

This facility will enable the customers to avail any service(s) provided by the VLE through the CSC Portal. This would enable a seamless cashless transaction as the customer would make the payment directly through his Aadhaar enabled bank. The money will be further added to the VLE’s wallet, who in turn would deliver the service accordingly. The VLE needs to capture the following information from the customer to enable dissemination of various services:
  •  Bank Name: Customer bank name linked with his Aadhaar.
  •  Amount: Fee of the service/product to be rendered.
  •  Customer Aadhaar: Aadhaar number of the customer.
  •  Product/Service: Name of product/service offered.
  •  Biometric/Iris: Customer’s Fingerprint or Iris through the use of Aadhaar authentication device.
